The Window Repair Process

Our Process

Our goal is to provide every potential client a very detailed breakdown of how we can help them solve their window issues. We strive to give you the most complete and clear analysis regarding the repair or duplication of your window sash so you can almost visualize the end result before we begin.

We start every project by milling our premium grade clear pine or 50-year rot proof accoya lumber into the required width and thickness square blanks needed to create your replacement rails and stiles.

Next the joinery and profiling takes place which creates a mirror copy of the original parts. We pride ourselves on matching every aspect of your sash detail no matter how small. We want the finished window sash to look like it was never repaired. This takes place on our state of art computer controlled spindle shaper from Felder. They have been manufacturing the highest quality woodworking machines for the past 60 years.

Finally all sash parts receive hand priming of the glass pocket and exterior with Insul-X Stix primer prior to the glass being installed. The sash is assembled using only stainless steel fasteners. We then install your existing hardware or supply new using only stainless steel screws.

Looking for a custom modification? We have in many cases re-designed our clients sash to go from a single pane glass to insulated glass. We have also modified profiles of many clients original sash to improve the overall performance of the new window sashes we manufacture for them.
